Monitor External APIs With Built-In
Service Correlation

Automatically detect external API calls using OpenTelemetry semantic conventions.
Click any metric to view the service making the call or the underlying trace.

External APIs hero

View all external API domains

View all external domains with endpoints in use, last accessed time, operations per second, error percentage, and average latency.

Filter by environment, service or method

Use the left panel to filter domains by Deployment Environment, Service Name, or RPC Method. When viewing endpoints for a domain, search for specific endpoints or filter by suggested attributes like deployment environment, host, status code, and more.

Automatic detection of external calls

External API calls are automatically identified using OpenTelemetry's span.kind attribute to detect client spans. API details like domain, endpoint, and URL are extracted from semantic convention attributes (net.peer.name, http.url, http.target).

See which services call your API and jump to traces

View call counts, latency, error rates, and request rates for each service calling an external API. Click any service name to open its dashboard in a new tab. Click any chart to view traces. Correlation is automatic via shared client spans.

ShapedEvery single time we have an issue, SigNoz is always the first place to check. It was super straightforward to migrate - just updating the exporter configuration, basically three lines of code.Karl Lyons

I've studied more than 10 observability tools in the market. We eventually landed on SigNoz, which says a lot. Compared to Elastic Cloud, it's a breeze with SigNoz.

Getting started with SigNoz was incredibly easy. We were able to set up the OpenTelemetry collector quickly and start monitoring our systems almost immediately.

Recently, we configured alerts for pod restarts and were able to quickly identify and resolve the root cause before it escalated. Additionally, SigNoz's tracing capabilities helped us spot unwanted calls to third-party systems, allowing us to optimize our applications.

We have started saving almost six hours on a daily basis, which we can now invest in other tech debts and backlogs. The best thing about SigNoz is that it's open source. I can go into the source code and look at what's happening. That's a great confidence booster for long-term usage.

SigNoz is something we use daily. If I have ten tabs open, six of them are SigNoz. We used traces and it helped us take 30 seconds down to 3 seconds.
